yeah almost as if they couldn't order a pizza instead... why do you care so much about whales? what about cows and chickens ?
Ummmmm, maybe because some types of Whales are endangered, and I doubt there are any kinds of cows and chickens that are endangered. (Yes, this is a cue for JSR to find some obscure article about a rare kind of chicken that likes only in New Guinea or something :D :D )

I think we all need to remind ourselves we are dangerously close to having this topic locked. I for one see it going that way unless we change our discussion focus to the actual 'spud guns' they use.
Appreciated, but I just wanted to clear a moral point:

As an adolescent one of my favourite slogans was "F*** the whales, save yourselves!", I have matured somewhat in the meantime and I think we can all agree that if whales were hunted to extinction for pleasure, that would doubtless be a bad thing. I also agree that hunting should be regulated with limited numbers of whales being caught within restricted zones. It is my impression that such restrictions are already in place, and it is the job of elected authorities to enforce them.

What I cannot abide by is unelected NGOs putting themselves in danger then whining about the consequences.

Ummmmm at this point it can go to Theopia, unless PCGUY or another mod whats it to go any further here, they can open it back up... other wise any remaining open questions can be answered through PM's or at Theopia.
