At least my ears have stopped ringing

I was testing this hybrid, after a few clicks it ignited at 6x, so I decided to up it to 8x, with a burst disk cut from photo paper.

The good news: it ignited on the first click :D BOOM!

The bad news: the burst disk didn't live up to its name, so the epoxy end cap popped out instead with a tremendous flash :?

If you look at the base, you can see the distortion on the chamber body and schrader valve from where it hit the wall.

Fear not however, I shook myself, nothing fell out, so apart from my slowling returning hearing all is well :)

edit: found the mangled remains of the ignitor that was taken out of my hand with considerable haste...

Do it again! Do it again!

Except this time maybe drill some holes in the body for the epoxy to lug into. I know you would have roughened it, but it obviously needs moar :D . Maybe think about using some aluminum powder to bulk your epoxy up as well.

I think thicker tube with holes drilled near the end, sleeved in another thin tube for the sake of neatness would work well... really give something for the epoxy to grip onto.
I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges.
Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.

Obviously

I also think that maybe aluminium tubes taken from the inside of a printer cartridge aren't exactly the most suitable materials for high pressure applications...

Hehe I just realised, look what was wedged in the muzzle! This means that the barrel jammed itself into some part of my furniture at some point, then bounced off! Still can't figure out which of the holes in my furniture it is though

...and let the neighbours know exactly what I'm up to? :D

At least now I have a new found appreciation for the power potential of hybrids, meaning future projects will be constructed with a bit more care :)

I just did a quick check, there is not a single item of furniture in my room that doesn't have some sort of projectile related hole, and not all of them are accidental

Currently re-making this project, with a stainless steel chamber ;)
