No. You don't need a spring to make a piston valve semi-auto. You are clearly misunderstanding or not understanding at all how piston valves work.do u think adding a spring to the piston valve to reseal it would work to make it semi

You made a custom pilot valve though. In most cases, adding a spring will only decerease power.

Take two lengths of wood, and place one on top of the other. Take one hinge, and affix it into end of said wood so that the two are hinged around their ends. This very simple build can be used to easily scare away squirrels. You can either make loud noises by bringing the two halves together hard, or you can throw it at them. Your choice.
Yeah, it's not a spudgun, but I believe in efficient and practical solutions to problems.
If you have a plinking problem, I suggest you deal with it separately.
