hey every one.
Today I got a little bored and had nothing to do so I thought I would take some pictures of my air gun and do a couple of videos as well so here it is my paint ball air gun, I know it looks a pretty dodgy but ill be doing some more work to it like:air chamber, red dot sight and maybe a couple of other things that I cant really think of at the moment but any ways if you got any ideas or tips let me know so I can work on that. XD

Holy bajebus, that chamber is overkill. You could easily cut off 75% of it and still have just as much power behind your shots. That is assuming of course that this is a single shot setup, which I'm inclined to believe that it is.

The piston looks good though. Turned UHMWPE?

The paintballs hold up really well at my mums i shoot them at around 80psi and at my dads i shoot them at around 120psi because my dad has got a better air compressor :D

120psi
Probably not such a good idea with that chamber. You've used a bell reducer, which is normally a dwv fitting. I wouldn't feel safe taking it past 50 psi. A metal chamber will open the door for you, pressure-wise, so it's good that you plan on switching it out.

So you got the piston to work? The lack of penetration of the coke can seems to point to lack of power, which I can't explain because your parameters are pretty decent. Maybe they're just really bad paintballs :)

yeah these are the only paintballs you can buy in australia without a gun licence. and there for a kids toy

I think if you used them with a blow forward bolt they'd just pop in the breach, altho i haven't played with them yet so im not sure ??

Maybe you could try it out with a marble etc so see how the power is?

yea i finally got the piston to work and the paint balls are great just really expensive. Today i was shooting a AAA battery rapped in duck tape to make nice snug fit and it worked really well didn't really get much filming with the battery but got some filming with some Lego heads :D hopefully posting a video soon. :D
The paint balls(splat balls) are pretty strong if you drop them they wont break unless it was a dud but most likely if it was a blow forward bolt it would break pretty easy.
Oh yea one last thing i bought a new air chamber all galvanised steel but pretty heavy. :?

Post the damage to the battery. There is a thread for battery damage.

Post the pics or video in this thread;
