Hi guys I have finished the prototype of my air gun pellet, 6mm in dia and 19mm long.More details coming soon. All type of comments will be appreciated, as I'm trying to make the pellet even better
going to test it with my most accurate air gun, with enough power for 100m of range for normal pellets. And next week I will test it with my mini hybrid
When all done I will build the real one, 8mm in dia

Nice, reminds me conceptually of APCR (hard heavy penetrating core, lightweight sheath) - but it doesn't look like something that can be produced in quantity.

dude just buy JSB exact pellets
If you really want to use something similar to your design check JSB Predator as well
http://www.airgunsofarizona.com/JSB%20P ... 0Page.html
lol jsr you haven't heard about jsb pellets ?? ...FAIL
EDIT
if you really really really insist on using something larger than .25 then choose 9mm -> http://www.airgunwarehouseinc.com/py-p-240.html
No offence but it would be cheaper to use ready-made pellets. Their accuracy is likely to be superior too. Not to mention that casting can be unhealthy. It would be better if you devote the time you have to improving your gun
ohh and finally - I don't think there is any point in using pellets larger than .25" unless you have a hybrid or a high pressure pneumatic. There are lots of quite heavy and accurate pellets in that calibre

I have no choice, I'm not 18 and I don't have a hunting lessens so this is the only way to get some good pellets. And I'm going up to hybrid pretty soon, during the holidays, so big heave pellets neededPOLAND_SPUD wrote:

well, as I said - quite a lot of .25 pellets are heavy... we're talking about ~80-100ft lbs on average for an airgun in that calibre.
Mind you that .25 pellets are easy to get and are relatively cheap... I don't think you need more than that but if you do then it wouldn't be a bad idea to switch to 9mm.
It's pretty cool that 9mm ID SS tubing is easily available too (well, at least here in eastern europe).
Wait a second... you can't get airgun pellets ? where exactly do you live ?
