try a hobby shop i found some aluminium tube that is 3foot and is definitely close enough to 6mm ID and this is only in a small town. im not sure exactly what it was but it works for me, it will be no good for threading though as its fairly thin. If your in Australia i gotta ask how you got BB's mine just got confiscated by customs i ordered them from deal extreme

They got confiscated!,Damn that sucks ass  This gun will be running steel 6mm bbs anyways not plastic Airsoft bbs.

Al the tubing I looked at on the weekend at hobby shops was too thin,ID too large and lengths too short!.This really is a problem for aussies trying to source 6MM ID barrels, the seacrch continues............

just remembered MrCrowley found some weed sprayers that had a 6mm id piping might wanna go to bunning with one and test them.

also if you know any one that works in a factory ask them if they can ask the maintenance department to order you some?

I still think the CF pipe is a good option. If you're worried about strength, centre it in some larger ID pipe and fill the gap with epoxy ;) for extra peace of mind, wrap it in wire before pouring...
