Yeah I was surprised at how quick it was to pump the tank.
And it will be even quicker if you use a pressurized input.
here is a link for the pump.

I got mine in the mail today...WOW! I've only used it a 50 BAR max, but I'm am thoroughly impressed.
BTW, Bigbang J, what is the inlet thread? It looks like 1/8" NPT, but it's not...

Do you think it would hurt to try an NPT tap on it? Then I could screw a fitting in there with a little epoxy to seal
Also, I don't know which stage is which on the pump, but have you noticed the up-stroke becoming any tougher after the mod?

It is... but surely you could have suggested a better cooling solution than "stopping for 5 minutes"MRR wrote:I thought this might be of interest for this topic.

Water or oil jacket, fins, an annular piston that moves the air in the same way as the bolt on the M4 Spectre

The bolt is so designed that it acts as an air pump to push air through barrel shroud and provide additional cooling for the barrel and action

Well this is the inlet port, so it is under low pressures. I'll probably only feed 25 psi just like OPGippeto wrote:If you're going to f**k around with high pressure...PLEASE don't half ass things.Lockednloaded wrote:Do you think it would hurt to try an NPT tap on it? Whoa, hey guys, Internet was down for a few days.
Yes the input is 1/8" npt, mine was a little smaller than normal though, so I ran my tap through it. Just make sure you get lined up right before you run it down. I used ptfe thread tape on my fittings.
Yes the up stroke does become more difficult after the mod.
The funny thing is, up to about 300psi or so, the pressurized input will force the handle up, so you only have to work on the down stroke:) But this soon changes. I would deffinately say that the added benifit out ways the added effort required to pump.
EDIT: what does BSP stand for? cause if ti is BSP threads the only difference I noticed is the it is a little smaller.
