I'm just here to ask you guys about a air blow gun... I need a relatively small one and i think this one (http://www.jhmbuttco.com/acatalog/info_SA913.html) looks good. But i read somewhere on this forum that this blow gun looks similar on the outside, but the internals are different from different companies that makes them. Which means that some of them might be bad quality. Also where can i get one, do i need to order it? If so which site would you recommend. I'm in LA right now.

Also im not quite sure how to attach this to the pipes so if someone could explain that would be nice. (im sure i can figure it out, its just better if i know exactly how)

Welcome to the forums Rubzzen. You should be able to get one just about anywhere home depot carries them and so does lowes but if you want to get one at a lower price try looking at discount stores that carry tools such as job lot. You will be able to get them for $2 to $15. I don't recommend this as a main valve even for airsoft unless you attach a hammer hit the handle and mod it for airsoft use only (more or less other small caliber ammo will work too) if you are using it to build a bbmg it is much easier. here is how you attach it to pipe, use teflon tape or thread sealant on anything you want to be airtight but the larger end or back is 1/4in npt so a 1/4in npt pipe nipple will allow you to attach it to any pipe you need and you will need to take off the safety tip on the top by unscrewing it and then you can simply screw an 1/8in npt into that end and then connect it with fittings. What are you planning to build with it?

Theres two types of blow guns , pistol grip type and other one , same as the one you linked ... (don't know how to describe them). Anywho I have been through very many and another is on its way , though my find some are one piece full brass which are excellent (though i ruined it >.<) , my current one is one piece as well but made from an alloy i think also works alright .
for reference btw its modded ( larger exhaust hole and grinded the pin shaft smaller.)

The one you link looks alright but i have come across a few the same style which have plastic internals and have broken eventually , weren't great for modding or having .But i guess just try few out.

I'm going to make a barrel sealing piston gun, and I'm going to use the blow gun as an exhaust valve. I don't care much if its expensive, just as long as it is good quality :)

I don't understand this sentence "though my find some are one piece full brass which are excellent"

Sorry my first language is not English :P

Then I'd go on the expensive side and be sure to mod it.

Just go to Lowes. You can find them by the air compressors. They have one with a blue handle and its a "Husky" named brand. They are rated at 90 p.s.i. I think I paid like $8.00 bucks for mine. Good luck, and welcome!!!

haha thats fine , i understand. What i meant was that , some of the blowguns have just one intact piece and some have 2 or 3 pieces inside. It is better if you can just get the one full piece.Hope that makes sense :D
