I'm currently working on a punetic cannon and I've been Going back and fourth Ruth the idea of directly hooking up an air compressor motor to the air inlet on my piston valve or just keep it simple and use an air hose coupling

Well just the motor won't do anything for you :P

Are you talking about permanently attaching the compressor to the cannon?

Well my plan would be to get a cheap pancake compressor and take the part that connects to the air tank and hook it up to the in take valve where you would normally put a female connector for an sir hose

That makes a very heavy cannon. It is best to leave the noisy heavy part sitting on the ground a moderate distance away.

I have considered building a QDV cannon in a small air compressor using the original tank as a chamber.. It would be used as a corn cannon at a corn maze in the fall. Again budget of time and money are both in the way.
