Does anyone know a type of fitting for 22mm copper pipe that would let me detach the barrel without unscrewing compression fittings? Something kind of like the ones you get on air hoses for attaching tools etc.
Thanks

Hmm... Can you think of anything like that but less restrictive? It's so that I can attach different sized barrels

Camlocks and unions are the best you'll get, unless you machine your own QD.

I was thinking I could get someting machined that's kind of like a straight compression fitting but threaded in the middle

Wow, that's amazing! I think I'll modify something to make a screw on barrel attachment. I'm definitely going to try a ballistic knife first! Thanks for your help and quick replies guys!

get a threaded union.
There will be no need to unscrew the compression fitting.
Also, you could throw a burst disk in the union sometimes, when you need a little extra "oomph"
