Hey, I'm currently building a spud gun and I was wondering if I could use a long lighter as the igniter. I would drill a hole in the chamber and stick the long end in it and seal it up with epoxy. will this work or am I an idiot?

It will indead light the mixture. Wheather or not it pops out and takes out a window is debatable, as is it's reliability.

DANGEROUS, that hole'll get bigger and bigger as you keep shooting, and searing hot gasses will eventually rocket out and hit your hand, just buy a peizo bbq ignitor

O.K. thanks for the info. I am using a lantern flint igniter instead. Thanks!
