2'' porting piston cannon. video. Built fot HPA
This is a 2'' porting, (1.9'' actually) metal, piston valve, with a 1000 cubic inch scuba tank as the chamber. Piloted by a 1/4'' QEV.
For now, i am using a 2'' barrel, with golf balls... as you can see in the photo below, they are a terrible fit. Soon i will be making some 2'' slugs, and trying sabots with the golf balls.
Also, if you notice, in one of the photos, there is a tennis ball in the barrel port... the port has 2'' female threads, and the ball fits right in.

awesome!
Looks like a very large chamber for "C:B ratio" , but it works.
Maybe you could just sleeve the barrel with rolled metal, like that roofing flash stuff(?) (still would have a small gap, but perhaps it could be rolled in a way that it will rifle the ball(?))
What type of plastic is the piston?
Thanks.

It is possible to use thin wall 1.5 inch PVC inside a 2 inch pipe for golfballs. Works very well.
of course you do, its piloted by a 3 way valve. (not in the pictures.)POLAND_SPUD wrote:lol what can I say... I love it
Also, i will be getting a new barrel tomorrow, 2''x10' (might cut it down)
and shooting 2'' slugs i really have no interest in shooting golf balls, it was just the first thing i had laying around.
Glad some of you remember this from last fall
The old piston was HDPE, and has been changed since the photos, next time i have it apart, ill take a pic of the new piston.
the old piston used a 1/4'' threaded rod, which turned into a pretzel after the first shot.... the new piston is a bolt/rubber hybrid... and is on a 1/2'' threaded rod

I have to laugh (evil laugh) at the idea of a 1000 cubic inch 1.9" porting hybrid... I may do ot in the future... I might be able to get another tank like this one...
This one already kicks to much to use the shoulder strap i made. The idea was to fire it from the hip... But it knocks me over at 150psi...

I think we need to get together for a shoot off..
1.9 inch porting T valve and 1,000 cu in
vs 2 inch coaxial and 700 cu in.

Can I bring a 3000 psi HPA tank -into pressure washer handle -into burst-disc.Technician1002 wrote:I think we need to get together for a shoot off..

About 100 psi in the video. I have taken one shot at 150psi, and want to shoot it at much higher, but have no way to fill a 1000 cubic inch tank... my friggy died trying to fill this thing.Crna Legija wrote:that is mad what pressure was the vids shots at?
