My MB1, or Marble Blaster 1.

My first spud gun. It is a pneumatic piston gun, with easy changeble barrel (within 10 sec's). The mounted barrel is breech loaded. It uses reloadable shells. It has a chamber of 1" to 50 cm. The pilote valve is triggered by a ball valve. A pistol grip is welded to the lower side, so the ball valve can be pulled open easily. The barrel has a fortification above the breech, looking like the handle of a M16.

Due to the fact I have a compressor with a max of 7 bar (100 psi), I just shot the gun several times of a thin wooden plate. The marbles went trough. That was a nice feeling  (youi know what I am talking about.)

I realy need to buy a high pressure pump, or make one.

Anyway, here some pics of the gun :

The MB1 in all it's glory :

Me holding the gun, just to give you an idea how big it is. (BTW, I am 6ft20, not 3 ft  )

These are the shells I use :

And again :

Pic of the shell, right one, a cheap one, made mostly out of PVC, to the right, a full copper shell :

Pic of the breach with shell in it:

I am gonne add a self made bipod, which is mounted on my .177 air rifle for the moment. I also am gonne add a sight (probably a scope, got one lying around here)

So guys, what do you think about this first gun ?

Very interesting set up, I guess you could call it over under and upsidedown.
Great job for your first spudgun, great job as it is. That is quite a big cannon although it looks small. Your breech is inovative. You should enter this in the spudgun build off. :D

*you will get much better quality images if you upload them straight from your pc. Just resize them, they can't be more than 50kb.

You must be pretty tall.

Nice gun, I like the shell idea.

Damn I forgot, I made a silencer to :

This is the silencer, lying undher the drill. Forgot to take a pic of it. That's for tomorrow, but here already the silencer itself. It's aprox 1 feet long and 2" thick, filled with steel wool. Works pretty well

6.2 is the same as 6.20 and 6.200000  Whatever.

a ballvalve gun ? Can't you tell what kind of a gun it is, by looking at it  ? It sure is a piston valve gun. What do you think I am ? A newby ? (well I am conserning spud guns, but you get the point ... )

I guess, not that I have been shoting it, that the space between the piston valve and the place where the ammo sits in the barrel is to big. I guess the ammo should be right next to the valve. Now a lot of pressure is getting lost in the "unused part" of the barrel, behind the breech.

The gun shoort nicely, but not very powerfull. In a straight shot, holdting the gun at 1.5 m from the ground horizontly, is "only" covers 50 yards without hitting the ground. I think that is very poor. It should at lease cover 100 yards horizontly.

Now, I just have a pressure of 7 bar max (100 psi). A gavla chamber with copper parts should at least hold 200 psi, isn't it ? Guess I have to buy me a high pressure foot pump or something.

Oh, and something else I found out. There is no or little point to use a silencer, if you don't silence the exhaust of the pilote valve as well, that gives a pretty loud bang to.

Unique design... I like it!

You should maybe try compacting the elbow assembly to reduce dead volume.

in the upcoming presidential election, there will be several candidates who will be running, one of whom is Hillary Clinton. Now WAIT A SECOND!!! I though there was some sort of rule that prevented someone from serving more than two terms in office. Vote Against Hillary: Presidential Elections 08
