hehe

Took me a few minutes to clear the Ram (according to LeMaudit within two weeks I will be doing this just by accelerating and braking  ) but driving was fine. Of course this is nothing, but it was a good start considering I've never driven in "proper" snow.

Also passed my driving theory test :D road test tomorrow, appendages crossed...

Turns out that boooooo! I couldn't do the test in my Ram because the parking brake was loose

Another appointment on Friday, LeMaudit has generously offered to loan me his FJ Cruiser in exchange for an opportunity to "try the Ram at its full potential", oh dear...

A loose parking brake...S.O.B.! Here in MD. as long as you have a legal vehicle you're good to test.

FJ cruiser, good taste. I had use of this glorious beast a while back, 4.5l straight 6. Pulls so hard, swap out the Geolanders for something with good surface area and it'd never bog. These tyres dig channels better than a plough.

Linky because 3.5MB photo.

I found it quite nimble compared to the Ram, then again, even your average WW2 destroyer probably has a smaller turning circle

boooooooooooooooooo!!!

60% - fail - because apparently I didn,t check my blind spots enough, and because there is a very specific way of reverse parking which I was completely unaware of  ah well, better luck next time.

Sorry for posting a reply to an earlier comment, but I think this should be clarified.
Dart guy: you say that the US has laws only regarding suppressors on firearms. This is wrong. A suppressor is defined as anything that can be attached to a gun in order to quiet the report. Any suppressor is illegal if it can be attached to a firearm. Airgun suppressors are only legal if they cannot be removed from the airgun. Even airsoft suppressors are illegal if they actually perform the function of quieting the report.
The best solution is to stay 100% away from anything even remotely like a suppressor.

@JSR. Darn right amigo. The handbook is for sissies. We don't touch the thing until we become sissies due to an accident that could have been avoided by reading the instructions. :D
