Hello, as you can see I'm fairly new to this site, I just found it a week or so ago, and I must say awesome site and great resource! I've been into potato guns for several years, and me and my bro have built both pnues and combustions. My next project is to make a propane fired cannon. I work for a propane company so I have a slight inkling of some of the things I need:wink: , and I've read alot more here and on burntlake.com(sp?). Any way my current question (and I'm sure there will be plenty more) is how long of a wire can you put on a peizo grill ignitor before it loses the power to arc and ignite the fuel? I want to be about 10-15 feet away from the gun when I first test it. I'm sure it will be okay, I haven't had anything go wrong with a cannon yet. but there is a first time for everything :(

Thanks for any help in advance!

i've done it over 3 meters, just make sure it's thick enough not to jump from wire to wire
