if you modified 2 engines (both 4 strokes) so that one drives the other, where the second engine just acts like a pump, and the air that comes out of it goes into a tank . And, you could have a check valve screwed into the spark plug hole, and a air hose hooked up to that, and basically, you would have an air compressor. I will try it with a couple 5 horse engines I have laying around. one with a rusted gas tank and a corroded carb that I will never get started again as the compressor, and the four horse kohler off my minibike as the drive motor. It would be portable, too. I could finally use my cannon in the middle of fields with no power lines in sight, and It would be pretty high pressure, and high cfm's, too.

When a 5 hp engine is in good shape, the most compression your gonna get out of it is about 90 psi. 2 strokes run off high compression. Even then you would need a newer style make 2 stroke because older ones don't run good untill thier hot, (due to tapored bore). Your gonna punish that Kohler doing that, i remember you telling me about it, rare find.

well, I, true, I wont use the kolher, I will use a 5 horse Tecumseh I have off a snow blower instead, and I hardly ever take my big cannon up above 40-50 psi, so It doesn't matter.
