Just make a pneumatic with a barrel that fits paintball snugly.

Put something like a screw-on milk cap down the barrel and put paintballs on that.

To design a pneumatic paintball shooter would be easy, just look around for some and use google. Also I would suggest GGDT to figure out some decent design for power.

If you want somehting that isnt one shot then it isnt as easy as you think and it can cost 20-70 US dollars depending on what you already have

The only problem i think i might encounter is that the paintballs which just shater when they are fired. this is because firing them at 150 psi which would be were i would try shoting them its like you trying to stand on them.

Simply use a lower PSI or get a CO2 setup on there which might be a bit better since for a paintball gun if you want to run around with it and not bound to a compressor or bike pump.

I was thinking that it would have a tank.

3/4" cpvc is a perfect fit for paintballs
in the upcoming presidential election, there will be several candidates who will be running, one of whom is Hillary Clinton. Now WAIT A SECOND!!! I though there was some sort of rule that prevented someone from serving more than two terms in office. Vote Against Hillary: Presidential Elections 08

DON'T SHOOT AT PEOPLE!

With a simple sprinkler valve 48" x 3/4" barrel, and a 3" x 12" chamber you will be getting ~550 FPS, WAY too fast for people.

USE PRESSURE RATED PARTS.
Especially on a pnumatic. The maker of thoes plans didn't. All pipe and fittings should say NSF-PW
