It won't damage your sholder, and it shouldn't bruise your shoulder, unless you hold the stock off your shoulder when you shoot, because the maximum force is fairly low (150 lbs for a 2" barrel [combustion]). To prove that you won't damage your shoulder, "Just for fun":
Remington makes a 3 oz (nearly 90 grams) "magnum turkey load", and it shoots this at about 1500 feet/sec. A shoddy GGDT calculation indicates that the mass required to get this much recoil from your launcher, if it has a 8"*2" chamber and a 1.5"*16" barreled combustion, you'd need to fire 12 kilograms! Muzzle velocity is a trivial 12 feet/sec.

Everytime you drill a hole in PVC, it weakens the structural integrity of the pipe, and therefore gives a place where the pipe is more prone to burst. It's been done before, it's just not exactely safe.
