For all you people on spud files that have marble guns, you know how inaccurate they can be. This tutorial will show you have to make a simple much more accurate ammo. The things you need are:

-Candles
-lighter
-Marbles
-dowel rod
-pipe the same diameter as you barrel
-freezer
-wax paper
-rubber bands

Image

First place the wax paper under one end of the pipe and wrap the rubber band around it to keep it in place.

Now light you candle and let the wax drip into your now sealed pipe.

Image

Once the pipe is 3/4 full. Allow it to cool until the top is starting to turn solid and press you marble into the wax.

Now press you you dowel rod into the end of the pipe with wax paper on it.

Place it in your frezzer for fifteen minutes and pop out the wax bullet. It should look like this...

Yeah its accurate but just to warn you, some waxes dont stick to marbles and some does. I finally found some that does and it awesome. But what sucks is that it takes about 30 or more to make one of 'em. I hsve also made them with hot glue and they work better that way.

Yeah. Thats why its better to use hot glue. The marble will still break off but usualy you can still use the stabilised hot glue clump for about 3-4 shots.

Thats awesome! why not put 3 small duct tape fins on the back? I have found that ammo like this somtimes goes sideways while spinning like a propeller. Fins should fix this. Has this happened to anyone?

often, fins do not help the stabilization at all. they only work if they are perfectly crafted and this is often time consuming and difficult. the most effective way to make a projectile have a straight flight path is to a)have it fit perfectly into the barrel and b) put a straight rod in the back of the projectile. as long as the air is pressing on the ammo equally from all sides and the rod is perfectly centered and straight, it should fly straight(a small diameter dowel works best). im sorry if you have evidence proving different, but this is what i have experienced.

OK I'll get up a vid tommorow. What should I shoot in it? Thin metal siding? A tin Can? These fly fine. They have no need for fins.

Shoot some cd's!!!
Medievelman, I don't have much experience with small, high speed ammo so I will take your word for it, But I DO know that when you launch a water rocket with balsa wood sticks down both sides it is totally unstable, but when I added fins to the end of both sticks made from an ice cream container (far from precision) they always flew straight up and hardly ever became unstable.

This makes me wish I had a marble gun. If I ever come across an extra ball valve or something I'll have to make one/

Have you ever made a sprinkler gun? If so just use it on it. I use my one sprinkler on four of my guns.
