IMG_0059_1.JPG PCGUY was nice enough to post two guns for me ,the blue one has heat bent handle.
I wanted some curves on a gun just to be different.
I had a very low fire mostly coals in my wood stove, so I just put on gloves and stuck in a length of handle stock. I waited a few min. and it began to sag so I rolled it a bit. Don't touch stock to fire or stove. I pulled it out and moved it into shape by hand, it is hot. Once it firmed I finished cooling with water.
It was my first try and it worked fine.
The support at the front of the gun was cut with hole saw.
The saddle cut is done with 1" hole saw on drill press. Different 1" bits can be used. The idea is to cut from the center of the stock, jigs and clamps must be used. Use 4" hole saw for cut that sits on chamber.
