hey I'm new to this and i have been doing some research in to it but there is one thing i don't get about the sprinkler valve, So from what i understand you drill a hole at the top of it then attach the blow gun to it. then put the gun to gather. then when it comes to firing all you have to do is pull the trigger and it releases the valve and fires right? And what do you feel is the best sprinkler valve? And as far as launching golf balls what is the best barrel size?
thanks

Thats what i have is 1.5 inch dia for the first one i built a few days ago(witch charges at a 100psi), but the golf ball does not fit i even hammered it down in there and it didn't even shoot out so...when i build my next one it is going to be 2 inch dia.
thanks for the welcome.

Speaking of sprinkler valves I just modded my first one. It was a lawn genie 1" inline automatic and it gave me some trouble. I chose it because it was the cheapest and I found that it was a bit difficult to mod because it had a guiding rod and a rather big spring. I shortened the spring just a bit and drilled in my coupling at an angle to avoid the guiding rod and diaphram. Works great for me, i get it up to 100psi because it's a grueling workout with a bike pump. Oh and it said in it's instructions that it's max psi was 150, just so anyone who wants to know.
