Yeah I do have one thanks.fom wrote:Do you own one? or are you just guessing?MrCrowley wrote:Yes, Depends on your strength,how fast you pump and chamber size.
If you have a small chamber use a bike pump,if you have a big chamber use a bit of both as one is tiring and the other slow.
i got a bike pump and its made to make 260psi.
it usually takes me about 40-50 pump to get it to about 300, it may sound like a lot but its not really and its pretty easy ya dont have to put much weight on it till the 200 psi range
here some pics of it;

A 12 volt pump might not work in some cases because some cannons need a larger volume of air to close the valve/seal the breech. However, a good 12v pump can produce quite a bit of pressure, compared to the average bike pump. i bought a cheap bike pump for about $6.00. It's made of metal and gets me to 120-150 p.s.i.

There are some high output 12volt compressors, I have one for my jeep when I go off roading, its a smaller model of one of these. These mv-50/m1050 12 volt compressors rock! (they need to be connected to you battery terminals though)

I have used a few 12v compressors. They tend to die if you use them like a regular compressor. Run it for 2-3 minutes max at a time, and let it rest awhile (long enough to cool off, 3-5 minutes at least). Open it up and oil the moving parts after every 20 or so uses. Don't expect it to last more than 50 fills of a big-ish chamber. 100 would be lucky.
They're not that fast, but it can beat a bike pump depending on chamber size and how hard/fast you're willing to work that bike pump
Btw, they have VERY little flow, and COULD NOT be used for a BBMG or etc... but would be fine for pressurizing a small pneumatic gun.
You can buy a motorcycle battery or other rechargeable 12v battery to power it. I use a motorcycle battery that I also use for starting my RC plane, and other assorted electronics projects.
Peace,
Pete Zaria.

Check the links.Pete Zaria wrote: They're not that fast, but it can beat a bike pump depending on chamber size and how hard/fast you're willing to work that bike pump![]()
