lol. this thing gave me an idea......... anyone ever tried making a coaxial with the chamber INSIDE the barrel? it would have to be of the chamber sealing variant of pistons but it would be sweet to have an airosft shotgun type thing contained in a single tube........... with a HUGE bore.
Yep,
I think I saw it on spudtech or spudshot.
It was a toilet roll launcher

That's not a shotgun, that's a freakin' cannon!! It's any wonder that it wouldn't sink the boat it's mounted to! Funny thing though, I've been slowly scrounging parts and money to do one of those "sniper rifle" designs, but mine's gonna have a 1" dia. barrel. It'll be so cool! Every time I think about getting it done I start freaking out in a small way because I'm still missing a lot. ( Anyone win the lottery lately? Extra money wasting valuable living space? Send it all here
jk,lol).

looks like a civil war cannon
Movie dialogue: "The good die first."

In James Michner's book Chesapeake he writes about duck hunters using that gun. The hunters sold duck by the barrel.
He wrote that the hunters would drift down on the ducks in a boat and fire when they got close enough. Brace the gun against the rail of the boat.
Then pick off the stragglers with 10 gagues.

I've seen one in real life in a castle in the Tjech republic. They said the same thing, it was used on big groups of duck.
This video was however, he first time I saw what it does when shot!

It was an efficient way to slaughter lots of waterfowl. Too efficient. It was banned because it was wiping out waterfowl populations.

I believe it's loaded with about 500 lead balls for taking out lots of ducks or other birds. Kind of ruins the point doesn't it?

Just to expand a bit, THe punt guns of old would use a one pound keg of powder for propellant and about 5/8 to3/4 pound of shot. That's one HUGE boom.
