Hey i have a few basic potato cannons and i was interested in making a Pneumatic paintball rifle and was wondering if anyone had info on that or could point me in the right direction it would be great. O and please dont delete this Boilingleadbath Cause i have no clue how to make one. And need some designs.

Now, now... don't be afraid.
I would advise looking through the "official pneumatic" section, to give you ideas... small bore launchers are often called "sniper rifles", if you want a handy search term.

As to giving you advice, what type of system do you want?
12' barreled altilery unit? 4' long portable munition system? 2' mini-launcher? 3" deringer?
All I can tell you right now is that you want to make your barrel out of either sch 80 3/4" pvc, sch 120 3/4" pvc, or 3/4" cpvc. (3/4" cpvc sleaves rather well in 1" cpvc, if I remember right... could be helpfull to make your barrel stiffer for increased accuracy.

This thread could turn out to be very handy indeed, plz keep us updated on how your project is coming along. I was thinking of trying my hand at a small bore combustion, I would like to create something very accurate and with a heavy C:B, for a good point of aim- point of impact direct fire gun. would like to target practice with marbles. I might start messing around with a prototype real soon, and if you dont mind- I would like to stay tuned to this thread, either to learn from you or to share my findings ( or better yet both). G/L to you. as a matter of fact I think im going to surf around for some ideas right now.

Ok well right now looking at all the sniper rifles and marble launchers i think im going to start with a less complicated Pb shooter. What im thinkin of is a shorter barrel to start with mabee like a 5 foot barrel and a 4 inch chamber like a basic spud gun, then im going to take a valve thing with the red twisty top and hook that up in there and have a "deadend end cap and put a hole in it and hook up a nipple thing to put the air into it and bam. If im ranting on and you want clarification im going to post a design soon and you guys can critique it or you can contact me on AIM at Komiekilla13.

Sorry if i did just rant but youll get more info soon!

Tommy

o P.S. imma try and make it a breech loader cause i think breech loadig is tight and it would be easier then ramming it down the barrel, o and if you know of another way to load it let me know.
Thanks

Tommy :D

you could probably put a T in the barrel at the breech end and insert PB there. Beats me if it would work, you would prolly need a cap for the t so you dont lose the air pressure, Bahh! maybe not so good an idea after all.

Ps it aint anything special im just tryin to learn the ropes of the pnuematic pb cannon so dont get pissy  !

Hye can you tell me or point me to a place that i can find out to make multiple barrels or how to switch to make multiple barrels fit to one chamber and valve?

Thanks

Tommy

You need a way to breach load? Well, you could always search for it...
... but you'd find that most require quite a bit of work and/or a lathe. Your only hope for being lazy and stingy at the same time involves filing the ring out of the inside of a 3/4" coupler and cutting a hole in your barrel.

You could try puting a magazine. Like a magazine on a real gun but it's on the left side of the gun and when you turn it right the hole in the magazine comes to the hole in your barrel and a paint ball just falls into the barrel then you push the magazine back left to seal te hole.

use an extendable repair coupling for a breechloader, just drill a hole in the barrel so you can drop ammo, and cover it up with the repair coupling when you're ready to fire
