Ok so me and a friend decided to make a small simbustion cannon, over looking the forums we found the Pill Bottle one, and bam decided to make it. Found the materials, igniter etc. It was pretty much an exact match though then we found that the deoderant or hairspray wouldnt dam ignite! Anyone got any suggestions why it didnt light? we had cap on bottom. sparker sparked though very small. I think it was the igniter being wet from the residue made the igniter not spark.. its got 1 wire and will only spark onto a high conducted metal, a human part, or a battery.. we used battery. spark was fine though not big.. BBQ igniter aswell.. so anyone know whats wrong? more mixture or higher igniter? tomorrow we're making a bigger one and getting a flint lighter. Whats a good flamable gas to use?

for something that small, it is hard to get a low amount of fuel in, and u really need a tiny amount, i suggest using a lighter, because it flows slower

if you put in too much fuel, there isnt enough air in the chamber to allow it to burn. take saladtossers advice and use a lighter to fill the chamber a little at a time until you figure out how much butane it take to get a good charge.

Not to be a bummer, but instead of double posting you should use the edit option ( located in the upper right corner of your post). It saves space on the forum, good luck on your projects- hope they work out for you.
