I know paint balls are a good ammo, I was just wondering what size they are. I have a barrel at about 1 and an eighth inch(I used the handle end of a wiffle ball bat). Would they fit? and whats the best way to fire them?

"best way"
Best way my ###! If you where interested in the "best way" of doing something, you shouldn't be using paintballs: they are not aerodynamic, sturdy enough to put up with rough launches, or heavy enough to use a large percentage of the available launcher power.
That rant being done with, I must say that the "best way" would depend appon your goals. If you are going for accuracy or rate of fire, I'd go for a tight fitting bore (and a breach loading device). If you are going for distance or energy, I'd use a saboted (individual) paintball with a long barrel.
To answear your question, normal paintballs are roughly .68" in diameter and weigh around 3.5g. They fit appropreitly in 3/4" CPVC, 3/4" sch 80 PVC, and 3/4" SCH 120 PVC. To fire them from your current barrel, you'll need to sabot them, and because a "wiffle bat" is not a standard diameter, I can't help you look for one.
