Here she is, my new pride and joy. this thing is just as powerful as my much bigger 9 foot coaxial. this baby shoots so fast you are lucky to see anything for more than a second or so. at about 45 psi, this cannon will out preform my sprinkler gun at 130 psi, no joke!

Barrel: 3/4'' SCH40 pvc

Chamber: 1.25'' pvc

Valve: home made piston valve in a 1.25'' tee with a 3/4 end cap as a piston with about 1/4'' thick rubber bolted on the sealing face.

Loading: breach loading with a coupler to cover up the slot.

I designed this to do a couple things.

1. i wanted it to be portable and powerful.

2. i wanted it to come apart easily, so everything is threaded unless it had to be glued.

3. i wanted it to be somewhat loud and be able to scare away the ulta-annoying birds at my house.

this cannon met all all my requirements plus more. this gun can hold pressure very well, it will stay at 100 psi for about a minute before it drops to about 98 psi, which is better than any gun ive ever made. Did i mention that is was powerful and loud?

anyway, enough blabbering, here she is. click on the picture to make them a little bigger.

ill get some damage pics up when i get some ammo, with this gun set up the way it is, i can take a shot in under 10 seconds if i really try, so it eats ammo like no other that ive built. i forgot to mention that the primary ammo is empty co2 cartages.

edit- what happens if i launch a co2 cartage that still has co2 in it? will it blow up? has anyone ever tried it?

YES! have shot one of those puffer canisters for asthma at walls and they EXPLODE!! thing is.. with a co2 canister, the vessel's integrity might make it dangerous when and if it does explode. if u shoot it hard enough it would puncture and blow up... but no way to say where the shrapnel will fly

Looks cool mate. Mabe I will make a piston valve for my pneumatic when I get a chance, but I think it will be harder for me due to using stainless pipe at 300 psi (2' long 3" duel chamber with an 8' barrel) I don't think it will work with a piston valve. Any who Keep up the good work :)

the piston is housed in some 1.25'' pvc, the piston is a 3/4'' end cap with some tape around it.

parts..

1.25'' tee

1.25'' female x slip adapter

1.25'' to .75'' bushing

duct tape (for making the piston fit well)

1.25'' plug.

1.25'' pipe

3/4'' pipe

the seal face is one of those rubber end caps with a sheet of inner tube bolted on, so its two layers. it weals perfectly.
thats all i used in the valve.
