first off, i gotta say, some of the guns on this site are amazing. I'd love to make one of em but my question is how to get started... i have idea of how the system works, but how should i get started putting it together?
i wanted to make a hybrid, so what kind of combustion chamber do i need? and how exactly do you keep the thing pressurized when igniting it and then releasing it?

If you're getting sarted hybrid is definetly not the way, it is the most complicated breed of spudguns. I suggest you try putting together a pill bottle cannon first. You'll encounter almost all the problems there and you'll learn how to deal with them. After that you find a combustion gun on this site that is simple and you copy the plans (I mean the barrel size etc.) That would be about it.

yup agreed hybrids are for the experts. start with something smaller like a basic combustion or like cronic said a pill bottle cannon.

cause you can die!! start small yes they are little tylenol bottles or similar bottles with a pen tube in the bottom. or you can start with a basic combustion. but dont start with a hybrid!
Not much that you learn from when you are DEAD (that would be the hard way)! I know it gets annoying hearing this, but take me, I have been building spud guns forever and I still havent completed a hybrid (still working on it). Hybrids are dangerous if they are constructed and use correctly. But after not being sure what a pill bottle gun was I would be super scared of you making a hybrid. I dont know ceral is pretty easy to make. *Slap* Back on topic. Kaliber not to be a ass, but your question could of been answered with a simple search. To prevent future problems dont use WD-40 because I have read that the "combustible" contents have been diluted and removed. So just find some other type of "combustible" aersol spray. pill bottle combustions may be easy, but they're a bitch to get the right fuel mixture, that can discourage some new spudgunners, i would go with a fairly large combustion, 3-4" chamber, maybe 12" long?
hybrids are not the way to start out man, i've been building for years, i've done alot of stupid things testing some of my cannons (like my semi auto paintball gun) but i'm still nervous about building a hybrid.
