O how many questions could be answered if the Spud Wiki/ Spudding Handbook was read...

Come on, lets get some proposed physical dimensions. "Some copper pipes" does not give me much to work with.

Although considering the porting of both the "Mauler," and "Supah" valves are 2", I would assume "some copper pipes" are of a fairly small diameter. As I know copper pipe is available in excess of 2" nominal size diameter, it is fairly expensive. So I would suggest a chamber diameter of at least 3". So to be cost effective PVC would be a choice material.

I know my claims are a bit speculatory in nature, so feel free to take me up on any points. Not that you couldn't have prior...

a 1'' piston valve is about 3 times as power full as a 1'' sprinkler valve modded.

So what your saying is a piston valve is 3x more powerful then a mod. sprinkler? or are they 3x powerful at the same time?

"a 1'' piston valve is about 3 times as power full as a 1'' sprinkler valve modded."

Let me just clarify, that claim was pulled out of his ass. It is a general consensus that piston valves of the same porting as there diaphragm counter-parts will preform better. I can not honestly toss out any numerical data, but I think that the general consensus that a piston valve results in greater performance is true.

I suggest you do some reading in the Spud Wiki, as your questions are terribly vague, and basic.
