buying a new valve

gday everyone. im going to buy my first sprinkler valve and im getting it off ebay. there is 2 options and im not sure which one to pick seeing as i haven't bought one before.

100% water tested

the white one looks closer to the ones i have seen on this site before i think.
so if anyone has any ideas thanks for helping.

both have guide rods so I wouldn't choose either of those two.

How much do they each cost?

Because. At bunnings theres ones that you can buy for 15 dollars, and are rated to 12 bar (175 psi).

But the only problem is that it has a guide rod, but i guess you could replace the solenoid for a blow gun or something, without having to drill into the valve.

you can't exaclly mod most valves at the solinod port, but the flow control stem often can make a nice place to make a nice deep port for the blowgun, but since its optional its usally cost more so I wouldn't buy it

I think the first one is better because It's flow design

thanks guys. yeh i know both have a guide rod but the one i saw at bunnings also has one so i mite just buy the first one and see how it goes. thanks alot.

They are just as easy to mod with the guide rod.All of my sprinkler valves have had a guide rod and they are POPE valves from bunnings.The first valve would seem more easily to mod as the material it is made from,it is more ridged and can more easily be threaded into and glued etc.

And price is another issue but both valves will not out perform each other significantly as they are all nearly based on the same principal of design.
