Odds are he's using it as an oxidizer in some sort of pyrotechnic or rocket engine. Or maybe he's like me and just likes to burn things.

Oh yeah, be careful with it, it has the capability to ignite itself without warning.

dont buy your chemicals on ebay, youll get a knock on your door from the ATF with a search warrant. go to a chemical supply store or make it your self. just google "potassium chlorate synthesis from electrolis" the basic gist is to run a current through a sealed container of salt saturated water, untill all the water is gone, the end result will be potassium chlorate. be carefull with this stuff, its pretty sensitive

Uggh... potassium chlorate's good points, (simpler to obtain, simpler to synthesize), are grossly outweighed by it's bad points. Potassium perchlorate is a much more stable and powerful oxidizer. KClO<sub>3</sub> has a nasty habit of being sensitized by chemical impurities. There are many accidents where unstable chlorate mixtures have detonated spontaneously. Also, KClO<sub>4</sub> is much more powerful when mixed correctly with your fuel.

If you are looking into rocket fuel, look into neither of these. Invest in some potassium or calcium nitrate. Or, if you want more power still, look into ammonium perchlorate.

You can grow potassium chlorate crystals by boiling down bleach. Google it if you want to find out more.

it is very good for touch explosives though, i assumed that was what he is using it for. some of that w/ some Mg will be realitively sensitive. more so with Al. if you want uber sensitive touch elplosives look into making some immonium tri-iodide. a gel capsule with that stuff placed on top of a door will sound like 2x a firecracker when it falls off, and leave a massive purple explosion mark on the floor

Ok, I got it. I made some and Its working. When I washed the pot I was using it spontaneouly combusted, IT WAS AWSOME! Ok I need Potassium perchlorate for a rocket recipe. Can I get this at a pharmacy?

As if... By some frome skylighter.com. You can't order perchlorate for your first order, so buy something else you might need first. I bought some from them and used it to make some whistle mix. io just ordered the bezoate first.
