Oh, what stupid things I do at 5:30 in the morning!
I calculated enthalpy of the reaction, then stuck my unit of KJ/mol back one there. (Though my original intuition was correct, at the very least.)

Good work there, Captain!

As a side note;
"(For those not in the know the little minus sign means it's exothermic - not negative energy)"

Just to clear things up for anyone out there that is confused, a negative enthalpy value means the as the chemical bonds are breaking, energy is being released from them. That is why the reaction is exothermic (fire=hot), but the 'energy is negative'

May seem a little counter intuative at first glance, but it's lagit, trust us.
(Em- might not wanna trust me until I wake up and check over everything I've written though.)
