oh fap fap fap!

This is using one of the first set of fins I made, right?

Strange how this one penetrated while the other ricocheted - I'm almost certain that the fins of the first one must have broken in the barrel and it hit the beam side-on.

haha excellent :) that would have looked amazing in proper slow motion!

The tungsten round clearly isn't flying straight after penetrating the first flange so no wonder it didn't penetrate the second.

What were you thinking shooting the lead round, of course it was going to disappear completely without penetrating :D

 19000 posts

In that case you should have put some soft materials around the impact point to catch the fragments ;) I did something similarhere, look at the damage from a lot less energetic projectile...

I got little bits of tungsten, it breaks completely!
Today was the test of flanges!

EDIT : I think about when shooting tungsten, I heard a "psiiiiiiiii" a very strong rebound

I didn't know whether to say "Thank You" or "Thanks" so I said
Thank!
:D

I think think longer tungsten(not tungsten carbide) rods could possibly work quite well here, seeing how the nail performed.

Not surprised considering how you shot at the beam, the slightly destabilised projectile and draft angle combined with an open side would make it quite prone to going for a spin.
