effest of various compounds on PVC?

does anyone know what baking soda citric acid (solid form) and water will o to pvc when they are mixed together? i know they produce a decent amount of pressure, i mixed them in a water bottle then sealed it and it exploded. im thinking could be a possible power source for a burst disc cannon... but im not sure how quickly it will deteriorate the pvc.

i have no idea, but if it blew up a soda bottle it might just be smart to simply make it out of threaded iron pipe.

yea... thats the thing i kinda already made it.... just as i was about to go test it i remember how gas and oil deteriorate PVC and i was like "hey wait a second, is this gonna blow up in my face?"

victory will be mine at tomorrows airsoft game in that case. wonder how much crazier the airsoft grenade v2 will be (with new quick arming technology!)
