So I went to home depot and they had 2" tee but no 2" endcaps or anything like that. So I wound up getting a 1 1/2 Tee. I found a end cap and a reducer for it.

Right now I am waiting for the Hot GLue piston mold to dry. I am using the actual tee for the mold.

Is there anything wrong with using a 1 1/2 tee?

its NSF PW

Will those go directly into a 2" tee?

or do I need to put 2" pvc piping in the Tee then put in the plug?

Yes, they are spigot fittings. Unless you want to tap the fill/exhaust port, use a threaded bushing instead.

Make sure that the 2'' tee is pressure rated!!! Most of the fittings that home depot sells are not pressure rated.

i usually use a female adaptor and a threaded plug that way i can take the piston out if it has problems.
