Spring in Tee Exhaust ValvE

A manual valve based on the DDTV or something like that. It works by pulling the pipe stub down, exhaustiing the air through the holes

Tee
Endcap
Stub of pipe
Exhaust holes
(Pretend this is gray) Spring
Ring to pull

Is this to be used as a trigger valve for triggering a piston or sprinkler? If so, it could work reasonably well. It would not work well as a main valve.

What keeps the piston from moving before it's pulled? The pressure of the air behind it will make it want to move on it's own.

A reset spring may be required.

Peace,
Pete Zaria.

It's an interesting concept, but you would need a perfect seal between the tee and pipe stub, or it will leak like mad. (This all assumes I read the diagram right.)

@Pete Zaria: the spring is used to reset the stub when it is pulled. and what piston might i add?

@Pilgrimman: yeah, i'm worrying about that now.I was thinking of putting an o-ring or some silicone to seal it when the valve is closed.

The pipe stub is glued to the endcap by the way.
well, this isn't much isn't it?
