Grey Electrical PVC???

Cannons powered by pneumatic pressure (compressed gas) using a valve or other release.

Hey Guys,

I'm an electrician and have acces to lots of grey PVC. It looks the same and know its not "listed" as being pressure rated. But I think its the same stuff, and very available in my area. Can I use it for a pnuematic? :D :D

Grey PVC "condiut" is usually not pressure rated. I wouldn't use it.

Cap it off and hydrostatic test it till it bursts. Repeat as many times as you can, then divide by 3 to give you a max working pressure.

The answer would have to be no.

Regular PVC is already brittle. I'm guessing "rigid" conduit tubing, (I used it for a dog kennel because it doesn't sag as much as PVC), would be even more brittle. It may work, and then again it may not. I wouldn't take the chance.

you could use it as a barrel
trying to decide on a new project, probably something small.
