Help with blogun

today i just rode my bike 36 miles to home depot to get a blogun and a pressure guage. the guage works fine but i cant get the blo gun to activate my valve. i followed all of the steps on the how to page. the hose is 3/8" air compressor hose and the valve is a rainjet and the blogun is husky. nothing leakes and the valve seals. please help me im kinda pissed

Does air come out the blowgun?
The only thing I can think of is that, maybe, there is a hole in the diaphram big enough to cause the pressure difference accros it to not get big enough.
...in that case, you might try taking the (probably brass) tip off the blowgun. It restricts flow.
