Yes, I have been playing too much Halo 3.

But all that playing gave me a good idea: why not take the idea behind vortex guns and change it a bit so you can shoot .40 blowgun darts full auto?

Idea is pretty self explanatory. Only problem I could see happening is the darts jamming.

Hmm I think that a long cone with a smaller 'cone' hollowed out of it would work better.

BLASPHEMY!!!!

As for your "spiker", I think that it may suffer the mother of all jams when one of those darts gets lodged into the walls of the gun somewhere.

perhaps semi auto with piston could aliviate the jamming problem? Also the feed mech would need to be pretty bang on. Perhaps Co2 powered aswell to make them portable, then you could duel weild them   :D

Im assuming you don't have the game....but secretly wish you did :P

I decided the shorter spike darts would work better than the wires.

I'm going to build a prototype very soon.

Use a stiff tail cone that would fit in tracks, (like those loading strips SKS's use). A brake away sabet around the point, (foam packing peanuts).

I have an idea as to how to make this thing work. And well at that.

It will look silly, but I'll draw up a quick MS-Paint prototype on the concept.

EDIT: Image

I don't Know if that would work well or not but In my head ot seems to work.

With cone shaped ammo, there will be exesive amount of jams between shots because of ammo overlapping the other one. The way to combat this would be to have a curved magazine, and have the ammo fed upwards by a spring. Even with this solution, a sabbot would still need to be used.

The short spikes are also a better idea, those long darts just aren't stiff enough.

These would be the best for this, at least in my opinion.
