Ok so heres what going on. My cannon used to not fire with a blow gun attached to the sprinklers and I fixed it by making the equalization hole on the diagrams smaller by filling it with epoxy then taking a red hot paper clip i pushed it through and the epoxy was still rock hard before i put the diaphragms back in. Also I have vasoline smeared in my sprinklers so there lubed i think that might be why but I am pretty sure its not the epoxy its self because it is rated to 3,000psi to 5,000psi or sum thing like that. the highest I have ever had my potato cannon charged up to was 120psi and I no its like rubber because I can dent it with my finger nail but not like super easily and I hope it doesn't pop out one day. Tell me what you guys think. Also i thought epoxy is supposed to be chemical resistant.

thnx

buy some of the epoxy with the self-mixing tips. it mixes perfectly, and hardens rock solid. or buy epoxy in two parts (in jugs, seperated)

those little pusher things dont always work.

well i bought it was in a syringe so im guessing maybe your correct spudgunnerywy but before i yank it out i will mix a test batch and then put some vasoline on it and see what happens and vh_man what to you mean by self mixing tips. also of all the stuff I have epoxied none of it has done this. i think the reason i mixed it wrong is because the syringe wouldn't push out the green stuff but it pushed out the white stuff fine and it always does that to me for some reason. but it was rock hard and i didn't put a hole threw it until about 2 days later and when i put it back in my gun like 1 day after that it was still hard.

ohh i see what your sayin ill look for that when i go to home depot this weekend and when i get the stuff for the rest of my three inch piston valve. i am making the piston out of epoxy using this stuff http://h1069795.hobbyshopnow.com/produc ... rod=NHP130 and ill just mix it in on container and then pour it into the mold for my piston and it should be equal because Im going to use all of it i think i dont know i have to get more parts first and then measure. and i will get little hand pumps for the botlls like on soap.

make sure you mix the SHI* out of it. like, take a drill and one of those HUGE useless paddle bits and stirrr it allll upp. untill its all one color. then pour it quick.

ever scince i started working on the gun in my sig ive been studying JSR's epoxy ways. Its really quite inruiging.

yeah thats what i was going to do but ill probably get alot of air bubbles and hopefully its low viscosity i guess i will find out when i go to hobby town usa tomorrow and if you clicked the link you probably would of read that its 30 minute epoxy and so if its not low viscosity it has some time for air bubbles to rise to the surface and i wouldn't need to pour it super quick.
