Hey all, well i was making some hot glue ammunition similar to nova's pimpin ammo the other day, using a piece of copper from my barrel as a mold. I sprayed PAM no-stick spray inside the tube, which usually works for PVC. But when the hot glue dried, i couldn't get the round out of the copper!

What should I do so i can get the rounds out of the mold?

Thanks guys,

ILTBTU

First stick it in the freezer for an hour, then take a dowel rod close to the same inside diameter as the pipe and pound until it comes out.

Well you can always heat it up again to melt out the hot glue, then use wax paper or something when you redo it.

I think JSR uses KY jelly or Vaseline in his moulds so that his epoxy pistons can be removed

i reccomend that.

and 5 star general, how do you suspect he can cut it out...........

thanks for the ideas, the freezing it worked, and i'll try vaseline next time... and 5stargeneral, that post made no sense whatsoever, i'm sorry. And a PVC mold wouldn't work because thats not my barrel size.... haha ShowNoMercy, this is true

Hey V.H. i use a blowgun hooked up to a compressor, just point at the side of the round and blow that little sucker right out, be sure to wear glasses though!

If you use copper, the edge will be slightly curved, thats whats stopped my slugs coming out.

Only if it was cut with a pipe cutter. I tend to just use a hacksaw now, takes less work to get a good end if you do it carefully and use a dremel to clean it up afterwards.

I wouldn't do my barrels any other way, I saw huge accuracy improvements after I changed from trying to clean up ends done with a cutter to the naturally smoother end the hacksaw cut gives.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?
