This is an all steel cannon which will take around 200psi
It has a 120volt solenoid valve
a bolt action for easy load
I will get a couple video's of it causing major destruction with targets
and a coupl of better pics
my first air patio cannon
I use potatoes so far, and it will shoot them in the air way out of eye site.
The other night we put a home speaker outside about 40' away and it
went staight through the back and blew all four side off the speaker.
thanks for the comment.
Merged:
The tripod is made from 1" x 1 1/2" tube steel and is mounted on an old
pipe stand revamped.
The synoid valve is rate for 800 psi , its a red hat ashco valve out of a paper mill.
The sight on top is somewhat acurate , but the laser site on the bottom of the barrel is right on at 150'
the barrel itself is a .105 wall 1 1/2" sa178a steel boiler tube inserted into a 2" sch 80 sa53 steel pipe and its rolled and welded.
I call it a patio ie.. potato gun because it has to be pluged into 120volts for the synoid valve.
the bolt action is just another 1 1/2" boiler tube 12" long with a slot cut out in the 2" chamber to allow for slide action and locking
The handle and trigger are made from an old porta band saw that was broke.
all parts are steel and could take alot more pressure than I rated it for.
Thank all of you for your great comments.
This is my first cannon ... My next will have some mods done based on this model , but will be out of 316L Stainless Steel

Thats cool man, great job! Welcome to Spudfiles. How many cannons have you built? This one looks to good to be your first. On a side note, you can edit your post instead of posting one after another, members will flame you for that around here, we call it "double posting". Look forward to seeing the video's.

Nice job. Somehow it reminds me of the Degtyarev-Shapagin Machine gun. DSHK (it's Russian)
Here are some pics of it:

See Jack, I know things about guns too.

awesome cannon, how did you make that cool crosshair
Wow, that things looks awesome. Like the others said you may want to upgrade the valve to say a modded sprinkelr valve, buts its your call.
The paintjob is very nice and I love the site on the barrel.
