it all started one cold night towards the end of last summer when my friend aaron came over with his little "air cannon" all it was was a piece of 1/2" with a schrader valve on the bottom. what he would do is take a dasani bottle and hold it on the top with one hand and hit the compressor with the other.... it was surprisingly powerful... it blew an empty dasani bottle across my backyard... roughly 60 ft!. so while that was cool i decided i could make it better.... mind you i swear i have never seen anything on youtube or anything like it b4... i went to the hardware store and picked up the makings of my first air cannon. a little 5'x 1/2" chamber and a 2' x 1/2" barrel. cost about ten bucks right? well that summer i had collected a LOT of acorns! can you say target practice?
after many attempts of trial and error, i made a really cool cannon that could shoot pretty much anything and provide my neighborhood with a big boom. i also have a uncle who is into shooting guns who suggested making a longer barrel for more speed... well along with more speed comes the hunger for more right? well i got rid of the half inch and just jumped up to 1" 1/4" and for that i just used a ten foot stick. if you ever look at the posting for lax balls and there recoil you will notice that i talk about it.. well that is because this model is the one that recoiled through my garage.
unfortunately i have never counted how many cannons i have made. i guess you could say this is my 5th model. i had three 1/2" models then straight to the 1" 1/4" model that went though my garage. then i just took that one and used a cross and a lot of 90's and thats what you see today. with the exception of the co2 power source. i was getting about 160 psi out of my compressor but now i am getting about 230 psi. so now i am having a lot of fun. i found out that the dollar tree store sells d batteries... a 4 pack for 1 dollar..... a d battery fits well into a 1" 1/4" barrel.. which i happen to have lying around so anyways b4 anyone asks i am getting a sprinkler valve in like 3 days... they were back ordered. i cant wait to see how much more powerful it becomes. let me know what you think of my cannon..
my 5th cannon... pneumatic comes in 3 days so dont hate

I'm a fan of CO2 so you got me interested. You should show us what this thing can do, especially when the ball valve is replaced.
All in all, I'd give it a 7 / 10 (due to the valve). Good job.

Looks nice why do you have a pressure gauge on your barrel though?

Mr.C: That's not as easy as you think. It's like me kicking you in the balls and telling you to stop crying.

Maniac: It looks like that, but notice where the valve is. In the last pic, that is just the chamber!

if you look its actually in the chamber... chamber ends where the ball valve is. barrel isn't attached. i have them all threaded to 1" 1/4" so i can make them interchangeable
