I've been looking at how 2" barrel sealing piston cannons are made, and i cannot figure out how to make the piston a tight fit. i know i could use o-rings, the bolt kind of piston.

the barrel sealing cannon i'm building now, has a 2" SECH40 Tee, and my vent adaptor has a 2" SCH40 pipe inserted into the end with the bushing reducer.

but how do i over come the "LIP" in the middle of the Tee section of the fitting. there will always be a space inbetween the piston and the 2" Tee.

any help would be appreciated.

I'm very sorry, i accidently posted this question in the wrong fourm. it was suppose to be in the pnuematic form.

Grind, Dremal, file, sand it out. I used my metal lathe and took out the pipe stop that way.

For a 2'' piston I have heard axe cans are good pistons. Regarding the lip are you talking about how it gets slightly smaller inside the tee? Because when you insert a fitting or piece of pipe it becomes all level.

just so you know, you'll need a compressor for a 2" piston, not a bike pump

I have a 2" piston gun, as well as a 3" gun that I pump up with a bike pump, so you can do it with a bike pump. It does take some patience though.

Are you using a 2" porting in a 2" tee?
It will not work properly if you use a 2" piston with a 2" porting!
use a 2,5" or 3" tee and piston if you want to get it to work with 2" porting, or else reduce the porting.
The piston needs frontal area to open.
Till the day I'm dieing, I'll keep them spuddies flying, 'cause I can!
