Ok, I found out that if you put a nozzle on the blow gun from a modded sprinkler valve and hold down the trigger it turns it into a maching gun. Have any of you done that before

More info please I don't know what the hell you are talking about.
You can tell how awesome a cannon is by the pressure used.

but that shouldn't work at all if that was that case... I suppose that he restricted the flow of the blowgun by adding a nozzle and it honks - so it does not release air fully from the chamber but only some portion of it (yeah I know it's not exactly the definition of honking but you get the idea)i think he's attaching the compressor to the pilot

What he's doing is taking the normal modded sprinkler valve setup, and putting a nozzle on the unused end of the blowgun. And what he means by 'full auto', is just a burping effect that occurs because the pilot is vented, more air comes into it, and due to the nozzle restricting airflow, repressurizes until the air is exhausted, at which point it starts all over again. This phenomenon would be extremely difficult to utilize in an actual fully-automatic gun design, because it's more of a fart than full-auto.

Or is the valve honking because of the somewhat restricted flow through the pilot?
Not exactly sure why you would want the valve oscillating. A generic diaphram valve works fine for a cloud BBMG. Perhaps an oscilating valve would allow higher pressures (but lower ROF)?

Yes Jimmy, thats exactly what it is. It's a slow honk. And no, that kind of thing would NOT be good for a BBMG.

it has the same amount of power but its full auto, its not just the air flow your talking about its more like a boom boom boom and i used it to make a machine gun ill get a vid up soon
Sorry for the double post

Boom boom boom? I bet its more like a pop-pop-pop.
Note that the valve is opening slowly in your case, and may not open completely.
Even if it gives off pulsed bursts of air, it will lack power to propel anything.

yeah there are somethings that look useful but are often really worthless info
Yeah, it's that important.
Like that post? That's already been said.Mr.Sandman wrote:yeah there are somethings that look useful but are often really worthless info
Anyways, if It's not the burping effect we're all talking about (which it most certainly is) why do you think it happens dudeman? Could you really harness tiny bursts of air?
Plumbers have a funny definition of half an inch...
