So me and my cousin are trying to build our first pneumatic gun. We don't understand what, if anything, we are doing wrong. We modded the valve based on the instructions from bcpneumatics with a 1" Orbit Watermaster Model 57101. We've checked for pieces of plastic and whatnot. It seems to us there is not enought pressure on the diaphragm because even 10 psi will leak out towards the barrel.

Are we just being idiots? Thanks for any help.

Well maybe your bleed valve in the sprinkler isnt working properly,u can fill the vent side of the valve manualy just get a rubber blower connection for a air compressor and hold in the valve on the sprinkler valve and pressurerise that section then fill the chamber and see if it works.Worked on my first pnuematic...i had a sprinkler with a flow adjuster and just drilled it out,so i did that.

It's working now with the flow reversed and shooting fantastic. I don't know why, but if it aint broke, don't break it again.
