Yes, I am exaggerating the recoil and I did dub those sounds in, read the end of my post.

I removed the filter from the diaphragm in the sprinkler valve, the filter restricts air-flow entering the pilot chamber and makes the valve honk and leak air for a few moments as it re-pressurizes after each shot.

After removing it, the valve can be fired in rapid succession with out any issues.

That's a 1" PVC handle on the blow-gun secured with a few machine screws.

Seems pretty powerful, I get about 20-30 shots per 20oz Co2 tank when firing at 120psi.

The regulator is by Kobalt.

Very cheap and easy to build, I'm going to refine this a little and then get all the people in the "tech club" at my high school to start building them. I exaggerated it's performance in that video because it is one of the things I'm going to use to get the club's interest. There aren't any spudders in this club... yet.

We've got a science room plumbed with lines hooked up to an 80 gallon compressor, so smaller chambers are better if we're all hooked up to the same tank at the same time.

OK the coolest (and actually funniest.. ) part was the dubbed in gunshots.

That is a nifty cannon you have there. My only real semi-complaint would be the primer stains....hey, nothing a good paintjob won't cover huhhh....

Ya, I have a can of green krylon fusion I think I'll use it.

I'm pretty sure the club I'm working with doesn't have any experience with air cannons of any sort, whatsoever...
So the video is funny to us, but it'll be awesome to them!

Most of them are intelligent people and interested in this idea.
It's much easier to help people become knowledgeable about something. Then make them intelligent or interested in it, that's for sure!

Some people in this club will hide under a desk if you threaten to throw a balled up piece of notebook paper at them from across the room...
Others like to electrocute each other with an airplane magneto (we found it, military surplus) and have no fear at all.
It should be interesting when we start building cannons!
Maybe we can use the magneto to fire a hybrid...

It's inevitable we're going to do stupid things and get hurt...
Intelligence and common sense are two VERY different things.
