Well I finally worked out a way to get a nice pistol grip style for my sprinkler valve without hooking up a blowgun backwards. I simple stuck a blowgun onto a pop - off valve and attached the pin to the blowgun trigger. It works like an absolute dream, is very comfortable and has a fook load of flow :D

Because of the leverage of the trigger, I'm going to stick in a very heavy spring and in the pop off so I can get high pressures without it going off.

Cheers!

Neat! I've actually wanted to utilize a pop-off as a pilot valve, but just install in on the front of a "trigger guard" and use the actual ring as a trigger (pull it backwards).

What's the pressure on the pop-off, though? I'd feel safe with a higher pressure valve (relatively, based on the working pressure of your launcher), so that the spring doesn't get worn and start actuating at lower pressures, firing the gun. But, a safety valve can counter this.

Thats a great idea! Way more flow then a blowgun too.
BTW: this could go full auto, you should give it a try. ;)

Great! seems to be a slight waste of a blowgun but I guess you could reuse it and it has more flow anyway.. You should consider using the blowgun AND the pop off as a pilot, both actuated by the same lever. All it would cost you is some small pressure rated tubing and a hose barb.

Not bad

Well, that's original. I wonder if I can do something simular. I'll see but I think it will make my launcher too long for it's weight, too much foward.

Thanks alot for the kind comments :) . It's only rated to 150ish psi but I have quite a few heavier springs that I'm going to try out. I'd love to get it to hold at 250+ psi.

Cheers! :D
