I thought a separate thread was more appropriate than cluttering others.

Eventually this thread will contain a drawing for each component.

Right now it is a means to clarify and verify dimensions.
Hopefully Tech can help me finalize.

If any other replies, please do not include picture! It becomes to cluttered and repetitious.

Absolutely gorgeous. That is an awesome job. It looks like the dimensions are spot on.

I probably won't build it. Too many other projects on the drawing board. Finishing the 2.5 inch QDV is first, then the 1/2 inch copper QDV, then the springer piston and barrel for possible supersonic golfballs.

The QDV design I'm working on currently extends the chamber along the full length of the barrel. Not much of a modification, but it would make the total outer diameter about 1.5". You could potentially craft something that at least appears to function similar to the Australian metalstorm weapon system.

My Mouse Musket had a chamber the full length of the barrel, but it was not a QDV. It was a traditional barrel sealer piston with the piston in the breech. A QDV can be made with the valve at the breech of the chamber. My ABS Cellular Core Test Cannon is of that configuration, but the chamber doesn't contain the entire length of the barrel. It's much easer to grip a 2 inch barrel in one hand than a 4 inch chamber.
