I am making a mini coax at the moment, but my piston is in dire need of a sealing face. I have a solid teflon piston, and was wondering is one of those "LiveStrong" type rubber bracelets like This would work well as a sealing face

Properly machined, the teflon itself should provide a nice sealing face.

um... well the piston is made of teflon tape not solid machinable teflon. it is wrapped and compacted into a cylindrical shape, kinda ghetto, but it works for such a small piston.

A solid piston is highly recommended. The bracelets are soft, but not flat. Getting a seal to fill the cannon is difficult. If it seals the pressure may cut it. I would recommend using a faucet washer instead.
